BROKER PROFILE is the leading independent retail investor relations consultancy. As the largest firm in the sector, they have the most extensive range of high profile fund manager contacts in the UK.

Based in the City, Broker Profile has a team of 16 Investor Relations Consultants. They have a typical IT environment for a company of their size with PC’s and small business server. They rely very heavily on the internet to monitor market trends and provide clients with accurate information. Microsoft Office, email and shared information are their core business applications.

One of the first referrals to Infineo, Broker Profile had a very low opinion of IT companies and IT support. They had experienced the inefficiencies of a break and fix approach. Previously when they had a problem, however small, they would call a local support company who would send a engineer to fix it sometime, anything from an hour to several days later. Clearly they were not meeting Broker Profile’s needs, or expectations. They work in a fast moving environment and need to maintain prompt, accurate responses to their own clients.

Infineo was introduced to Broker Profile. Their fresh approach was immediately welcomed. “We reviewed their entire network and fixed all of the day to day problems and annoyances. We then installed and configured a new server to improve performance” recalls Iain Brighton, Technical Director at Infineo. “The thing that has made the difference for us is unlimited access to Infineo’s helpdesk” says Perry Davies, Office Manager at Broker Profile. “If we have a problem we just call and get the problem sorted out – no more waiting around for an engineer to visit. They do it all using the internet! I don’t know how and I don’t care – I just know it’s a great service!”

Broker Profile is moving offices at the end of the year. “Infineo will be the first to know once we have secured a new office, I couldn’t think about moving our technology without them” says Perry who is responsible for project managing the move. The move has also given Infineo an opportunity to be creative with working practices and an opportunity to implement exciting new technologies. “These will make our business more efficient in the future” adds Perry.

Broker Profile is a typical Infineo customer. With Infineo’s help Broker Profile now have their IT under control, and they can use the office move as a catalyst to introduce technology that will bring more value to the business. Facilities such as Voice over IP, remote working and hot desking will play a part in the new office location.
